Message from the University President

Since it was opened in 2011, Fukuyama City University has educated many outstanding students and sent them out into society as a university rooted in the local community. We are very proud of our graduates, and we take much joy in watching their accomplishments.

As society undergoes significant changes, the role played by universities nowadays is becoming ever more important. A university must not simply educate its students with expert knowledge; it must also provide an extensive cultural education. Moreover, we must cultivate students who, by having many experiences during their time in university including diverse practical workshops in society, corporate training, and the like across a broad range of fields, have become what we call "well-rounded individuals."

To that end, we will put into practice the Fukuyama City University motto of "Learn for the Future, Our Town is Our Campus," and by doing so, aim to further enhance our collaboration with members of the local community and become a university cherished by Fukuyama City residents. Furthermore, all of our faculty and staff will come together to support student education and research, so that each and every student can find ways to exert their own unique skills.
